STEEL RULE DIE, PRESSURE BOX & PLUG ASSIST
Vacuum forming has other components needed in order to make quality plastic parts.
STEEL RULE DIE
Steel Rule Die trim the parts to the correct size after forming in thick and thick gage plastic. The 2 most common dies are 3pt and 4pt and up to 2” tall.
PRESSURE AND DRAW BOXES
These boxes are made of steel, aluminum and wood. The box helps to keep a uniform plastic thickness and part detail. We weld or fabricate the boxes in-house.
PLUG AND RING ASSISTS
Plug assists mount inside of a box and they push plastic into corners or pockets. The plugs can be made of wood, REN, or Syntactic Foam.
Ring assists mount into a box and pull the plastic around the tall male mold. Plug and Ring assists can be used at the same time.
GUNDRILL WATER PLATES
Gundrill water plates keep CNC molds at a constant temperature. We drill the holes in-house then baffle the water flow.
STRIKER PLATES AND DIE BUILDUPS
The steel rule dies cut against a hard surface like steel or Stainless Steel.
PUSHER AND STACKER
The pusher / stacker is used in roll fed machines and help keep the parts stacked and counted.
