FOUNDRY & PROTOTYPE PATTERNS
Patterns can be made from wood, epoxy (REN), polyurethane foam and fiberglass materials.
FOUNDRY PATTERN
Foundry Patterns make permanent aluminum castings. The castings can be for vacuum
forming, rotational molding, blow molding, and carpet compression forming.
PROTOTYPE PATTERN
Prototype Patterns are temporary and make small number of sample parts for testing
purposes.
CHECK GAGE
Check gages are usually made of Epoxy REN boards or fiberglass material and painted
white. The fixtures check the part tolerance after trimming.
TRIM FIXTURE
Trim fixtures are made of epoxy REN boards or fiberglass splash off the plastic
part. The fixtures hold the untrimmed part by vacuum or clamps. The CNC machine
will cut the part to size.
WATER JET TRIMMING FIXTURE
Water Jet Fixtures are made of fiberglass and aluminum with Stainless Steel inserts
and are watertight.
